Religion in the Balance is a blog of public theology.
The premise of this blog is that theological reflection on news, culture, popular ideas and deeper trends, will yield a richer understanding of what’s going on in our lives, and in the world.
The theological tradition in which this blog is rooted, is Christian. That being said, this blog will draw on other theological and religious traditions, as they provide their own helpful insights into our lives and the world.
Chris Owen is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, most recently having served the church in Mason, New Hampshire. He holds degrees in divinity, philosophy of religion, and international relations. He lives on a little patch of stony New England soil with his wife Eleanor, their two children, and assorted farm animals.
